Black Man

Black man

I am a black wandering stranger

In a white foreign land

Flowing with gold and riches

The people chiefly Caucasian

I, a loner, black from Africa

They abuse my colour, mock my dignity

Discarding my great talent

Rejecting me as none like them

To them I am nothing but trash and garbage

No difference between me and their pet monkey

Classifying me as ‘ordinary animal’

All because I am black

They reject my people because of colour

Is it a crime that we are black?

The Creator knows why he made us black

Yet those ‘white wolves’ won’t let us be

I am stranded in this racist country

No plane, ship or car would carry me

Is this is how my great life will end?

I forbid to die a sad and lonely death
